Answers to your questions
How long does the process take?
The standard term is from 4 to 8 months (depends on the type of card and the workload of the office).
What should I do if my application is refused?
It all depends on the reason for the refusal. If the decision is incorrect, we can easily appeal it.
Is it possible to obtain a residence card without employment or running a business?
Unfortunately, no. When applying for a temporary residence permit, a legal basis must be indicated. This can be: official employment, running a business, marriage to a Polish citizen, staying with a spouse, or studying.
If I don’t have a registered address, are there any chances to obtain a residence card?
Yes, of course. If you are applying through your job, you don’t need to provide proof of residence. If you are applying on another basis, it is sufficient to include a rental agreement.
If I work as a student and don’t pay taxes, can I apply for a residence card?
Yes, of course. You just need to have private health insurance as well.
Is it possible to submit the documents in person in the near future?
Unfortunately, no. Currently, appointments are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and are scheduled 5–6 weeks in advance.
